The ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation) was developed to strengthen security measures and ensure the safety of visitors travelling to the United States of America (US). The ESTA online authorisation process is, in essence, a screening procedure that analyses traveller information and determines eligibility to travel to the U.S. under this programme. Only citizens of Visa Waiver Program countries should apply for an ESTA.
An ESTA application is processed immediately after completing the online form. All applications are reviewed by an agent for errors or omissions. You may receive your ESTA authorisation document within minutes if there are no delays, to up to 24 hours.
Common reasons for denial of an ESTA may include; using a passport number that was reported lost or stolen, answering wrong on ESTA application questions, staying longer than approved on a previous visit, or denial of a previous Visa to the US. Please note, we are not provided with the specific reasons for a denial in your case. Our agents assist with typical errors or omissions and may contact you to clarify portions of your application.

Your ESTA to the US is valid for two (2) years from the date of issue. However, if your passport expires prior to the two years you will need to apply for a new ESTA.
